Insulation

L&W Supply is your #1 source for the latest insulation products, from traditional fiberglass to rigid insulation. We offer a wide range of leading fiberglass and mineral wool products to suit a variety of construction needs.

Fiberglass Insulation

Fiberglass insulation is a cost-effective thermal and acoustical barrier for energy-efficient construction. Batts are available in a wide range of R-values (typically R-11 to R-38) and thicknesses to meet most thermal specifications.  Easy to install, fiberglass provides excellent acoustical properties and will reduce sound transmission when installed properly in partition walls and acoustical ceiling and floor systems. Acoustical/ thermal insulation can improve STC ratings in wood stud construction by 3 to 5 points and metal stud construction by 8 to 10 points depending on the wall configuration.

Spray Foam Insulation (SPF)

Open and closed-cell spray foam insulation solutions provide superior thermal and energy performance, as well as advanced air, moisture and sound control in any climate. These products can be used in interior and exterior walls, unvented and vented attics, floors, ceilings and crawl spaces. Plus, using spray foam can reduce air leaks and create a more comfortable, energy-efficient home – meaning you could see more energy savings every month. Spray foam products are available to professional contractors, trained by manufacturers. If you are interested in getting spray foam installed, contact your local L&W Branch Location using our Location Finder.

Mineral Wool Insulation

Mineral wool insulation is made from natural rock and slag which makes it fire resistant, non-combustible and capable of handling temperatures in excess of 2000 °F. The superior fire performance and moisture resistance of mineral wool has also made it an attractive option for continuous insulation on the building exterior. In addition, the density of mineral wool makes it resistant to air flow and gives it outstanding acoustical performance. Using mineral wool as part of a wall or floor assembly can dramatically improve the sound performance of the partition.

XPS Extruded Polystyrene Insulation

Uses in agricultural, residential, commercial, refrigeration, new construction and remodels.  Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) is a rigid thermoplastic made by mixing molten polystyrene with a blowing agent. The mixture is then extruded through a die that creates many small, rigid closed cells that provide the panel with its strength, thermal insulation and water resistant properties. XPS is an excellent choice to reduce heat loss or gain and provides a protective continuous insulation barrier. XPS is available in a wide variety of thicknesses, surface, and edge profiles.

Polyiso-Polyisocyanurate Insulation

Polyiso is the #1 insulating product available today. Polyiso can be used in residential and commercials structures, on the roof or on the wall. Using polyiso enhances a building’s performance by keeping heat loss to a minimum, blocking thermal bridging, and reducing your monthly operating cost.

Polyiso panels are available with a variety of facers:

  • Foil
  • Glass Mat
  • OSB
  • Plywood
