Seen & Heard at INTEX Expo 2019: Part Two

There was so much to see and do at INTEX 2019 that we needed two posts to cover it all.

Here are some more booth and product highlights featuring some of the most innovative vendors and manufacturers in the wall and ceiling industry:

Grabber

Grabber PanelMax Intex 2019

We visited Grabber’s booth to learn more about the new solutions they are promoting for fasteners, adhesives, and finishing materials. In particular, we talked about the PanelMax CM10, part of the PanelMax product line, designed to help users more easily solve a number of challenging jobsite conditions like soffits, corners, and columns.

The way it enables this is by allowing the operator to cut 90° grooves quickly and easily into a variety of materials, including gypsum, wood, and MDF. With precise laser alignment, cutting-edge base design, and reliable dust collection, the CM10 Milling Unit is a powerful device that allows accurate and efficient production.

National Gypsum

Another company making great strides in both environmental innovation as well as cost control is National Gypsum, leaders in gypsum and cement boards as well as finishing products. They were showcasing an exciting new solution, the PermaBase CI Insulated Cement Board, which brings together the strength and reliability of cement boards along with a rigid insulation to create an ideal substrate for exterior finishes.

The PermaBase CI saves contractors time and labor by removing an additional step by combining both insulation and cement board solutions. Additionally, with an insulation value of R-10, the PermaBase CI is an ideal solution to meeting energy code requirements across a variety of climate zones and parts of the country.

Marlite

Marlite designs and manufactures commercial wall panel systems such as FRP, plank and wood molding, and HPL, featuring wide range of customization options, decorative finishes, and designs. Along with their sister company, Nudo, Marlite’s extensive product catalog helps architects create beautifully designed interior spaces. They were introducing the Blue Sky advanced finishing system, an exciting product and online tool where users can upload their own designs and print them on virtually any type of wall panel. By allowing their customers to print vibrant, high-res imagery across an endless array of materials, Blue Sky allows unprecedented flexibility in the design process.

CertainTeed

No Coat Pro Automatic Drywall Corner System

Next we spent some time talking with the folks at CertainTeed and learned more about the No Coat Pro Automatic Drywall Corner System. CertainTeed, with their No Coat line, is well-known for their line of structural laminate corners, built for durability and ease-of-installation, as well as their aesthetic appeal. The No-Coat machine is the first and only automated system for custom cutting of corners, allowing users to produce ready-to-install corners with joint compound applied, cut to any desired length. The machine is lightweight, easy to use, and stores custom measurements to allow quick application.

On behalf of the rest of our fellow participants at L&W Supply, we would like to thank AWCI, CISCA, the rest of the organizers and participants for another exciting year at INTEX.

We look forward to seeing more of these products in action over the coming months, and we’re already getting excited for INTEX 2020 in Las Vegas, NV.
