A Future Veterans Can Build On
On Veterans Day, the nation’s thoughts turn to the brave men and women who have served our country and sacrificed so much for our freedom. But at L&W Supply, honoring our nation’s veterans isn’t something that starts and stops on November 11. Our gratitude and respect for the military is woven into our culture day in and day out — as reflected in one of our company’s Core Values, American Pride.
An important way we honor and support those who have served is by reaffirming our ongoing commitment to hiring and retaining United States veterans.
“As a company founded with — and fueled by — American Pride, we are always looking for associates who share this same value,” said Regional Vice President Chad Cutlip. “Veterans not only embrace their identity as Americans, they embody it every day of their lives.”
While shared values are key in the seamless transition from military service to a career at L&W Supply, we also recognize the incredible talent of veterans looking for jobs after their time in the service. After all, the skills and traits demanded in the military transfer over smoothly to a career at L&W Supply.
“The transition from military service to a career at L&W Supply is a natural one,” said veteran and District Manager Brian Murphy. “Those with a military background thrive when they become part of L&W Supply, thanks to our unwavering commitment to providing the necessary resources for our associates’ success.”
With the help of hiring pledges and partnerships with Military.com and RecruitMilitary, nearly 300 veterans are a part of the L&W Supply family.
Yet our commitment and dedication to our veterans extends far beyond the hiring process. We put our Core Value of Give Back into action to help veterans across the U.S. Whether we’re donating drywall for veteran housing developments or collaborating with organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project, we’re proud to make a difference in the lives of those who have done so much for our country.
