L&W Supply Grows Nationwide Footprint with Acquisition of Ceilings Supply Company in New Orleans Area

Acquisition Sets Stage for Strategic Growth & Expansion

CHICAGO–May 15, 2017 – L&W Supply Corporation, one of the nation’s largest distributors of wallboard and related building products, announced today the acquisition of the assets of Acoustical Ceiling Supply Company (ACS) in Metairie, Louisiana. This marks the first acquisition by L&W Supply after being purchased by ABC Supply in November 2016. With this strategic acquisition, L&W Supply will now operate 137 branches across 35 states. ACS will be the second L&W Supply branch in the New Orleans area.

Started in 1976, ACS is a family-owned business serving the greater New Orleans area. The company provides commercial acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings, insulation, metal studs and drywall products to customers. “We’re excited to grow our footprint and look forward to continuing to serve the needs of contractors in the New Orleans market,” said Dan Piché, president of L&W Supply. “This acquisition marks the beginning of a new era of strategic growth for L&W Supply.”

Under L&W Supply’s ownership, both branches will have expanded service capabilities and provide a full line of building material products including USG Ceiling Tile & Grid and USG Specialty Ceilings products. ACS is located at 4400 York St. in Metairie, Louisiana 70001.
